These terms apply when you use hotel-santa-barbara.com, create an account or book with Hotel Santa Bárbara, Calle 71 con Av. 3G, sector La Lago, Maracaibo, Zulia, Venezuela. By booking or creating an account you confirm you have read and accept them.
Online bookings
You choose dates, room type and number of guests, and give us your contact details. The booking is held for a limited time, shown on your booking page, so you can report your payment. If no payment is reported in that time, the booking expires and the room is released automatically.
Your booking is confirmed once the hotel verifies the payment. The hotel assigns the room number within the room type you booked.
You must be of legal age to book, and the details you give us must be true. The number of guests cannot exceed the room capacity.
Prices and payments
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) for the whole stay, at the rate in effect when you book. The price of an existing booking does not change if rates change later.
We accept Zelle, USDT, bank transfer, pago móvil and cash on arrival. Payments in bolívars are calculated at the official Central Bank of Venezuela rate on the day of payment.
We will never ask for bank passwords, verification codes or full card numbers. If someone asks for them on behalf of the hotel, do not share them and let us know.
The hotel may reject a reported payment that cannot be verified. If that happens, we will contact you.
Check-in and check-out
- Check-in from 3:00 p.m.; check-out by 12:00 noon. Early check-in or late check-out depends on availability.
- Every guest must show a valid ID card or passport on arrival, as required for guest registration.
- If you do not arrive on the expected day and do not tell us, the booking may be marked as a no-show and the room released.
Changes and cancellations
To change dates or cancel, message us on WhatsApp or by email with your booking code. Changes depend on availability and may carry a price difference.
If you cancel at least 48 hours before arrival, we refund what you paid or keep it as credit for another date. If you cancel less than 48 hours before arrival or do not show up, the hotel may keep the value of the first night.
During your stay
- Only the guests registered on the booking may stay in the room.
- Damage to the room or the hotel is charged to the responsible guest.
- Please respect other guests’ rest and the hotel’s house rules.
- Do not leave valuables unattended. Ask at reception if you need to store something.
Your account
An account is optional. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what is done with your account. We may deactivate an account used for fraud or abuse. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Website information
We do our best to keep prices, photos and descriptions up to date, but they may contain errors. Photos are for reference. If there is an obvious pricing error, we will tell you before charging and you may cancel at no cost.
The hotel is not liable for interruptions outside its control, such as public utility or internet outages, although we have our own power generator.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Any dispute we cannot settle by talking will be brought before the courts of Maracaibo, Zulia state.
